The Automatic Filter Press is used to separate solids from liquids in wastewater and industrial processes. Slurry is pumped into chambers between filter plates, where liquid passes through filter cloths and solids are left behind as a compact cake. It works in automatic cycles, so it runs consistently with very little operator input. The high-pressure process removes more water, producing drier sludge that is easier to handle. Different plate and cloth options allow it to be adapted for various uses. Working Principle
The Automatic Filter Press operates using a pressure-driven filtration process. Slurry is pumped into the filter press and distributed into chambers formed between recessed filter plates. As pressure builds, the liquid passes through the filter cloth and exits through drainage channels, while solids are retained and gradually form a filter cake on the cloth surface. Once the chambers are filled and filtration is complete, the press opens, and the formed filter cake is discharged. This batch process ensures efficient separation and low moisture content in the final sludge cake.
